In 1988, hunters capture a wild boy among wolves deep in the Bosnian mountains. Without identity, he is randomly given a name Haris, and sent to an orphanage in Belgrade. The care-taker Ilke anxiously tries to help the boy, even though the medical predictions are grim. Finally, Haris starts to show progress as he becomes inseparable with another boy from the orphanage, Žika.
It's 1992 and the war in Bosnia is raging. A letter from Bosnia arrives, requesting Haris' instant return. Ilke tries to hide him, but police finds him and he is sent back to Bosnia.
As soon as he arrives, Haris ends up amid war. One night, after a fierce battle, he decides to leave the army and goes back to the mountains where he was found...
